My name is Lily, just like the flower.  I am a certified Preschool Assistant Teacher for ages 3-5.  I enjoy reading, writing on occasion  and coming up with crazy-cool ideas.  Sometimes my ideas bite off more than can be chewed…and not by just me.

My favorite kind of job is the kind where I get to teach children.  Children are our future and there is no better way to build on our future than by enlightening our young minds. I have a resume on LinkedIn as well as on Care.com (see below), so please let me know if you are looking for a new assistant in your preschool, or Hebrew School.  Learn more about me by clicking about me.

I sometimes enjoy experimenting in my tiny, little kitchen and, since my bariatric surgery, I enjoy educating myself in finding my healthy medium from fresh ingredients and home cooked meals.

I am also interested in learning new things whenever I can.  There is always a possibility in every little thing you do.

So here’s the story, Morning Glory!

Please don’t let this be just another blog!

I’m not gonna sugar-coat it. There are some pretty amazing blogs out there that literally kick my blog’s ass. If my blog were running for political office, it would lose by a landslide. If my blog were one in a pack of blog-wolves, it wouldn’t even be the beta wolf. It probably couldn’t even fend for itself in the wild, so the other blog-wolves would bite and scratch at it until it simply blew away in the wind. If my blog were a sumo wrestler, it would be crushed, immediately by the other fatty in the ring. Although this blogger has no idea about sumo wrestling-blogs, blog-wolf packs, blogs running for offices, or blogs kicking other blogs asses and is therefore not to be held accountable or liable for any offences taken on these subjects.

Why should you read my blog? Maybe it’s because you want to? Maybe it’s because you have to. Maybe you find my posts charming, informative and insightful. Maybe you saw something on Pinterest that you liked. Maybe you found something that you just had to share it with your friend on Facebook. Or maybe you absolutely cannot live another day without putting your curiosity to rest?

Beats the hell outta me!

There are billions of blogs out there. I’ve decided to take this blog on a more personal route. When I first started, my idea was more standard; to have one of those cooking and crafting blogs like the ones found all over Pinterest. I’ve had a crappy year and not much inspiration to write about much of anything at all. So I’ve decided to turn this blog into more of a journey of moving towards that “spice of life” and finding success through doing the activities that I love and writing about them. I won’t just be restricting my posts to cooking and crafting anymore.  While the posts may not be frequent, at least they will be researched and/or inspiring.

If I’m going to be honest, I don’t have the money to be buying all the ingredients each week.  It took me forever to replace my wok, which really did fall apart over time!  Let that be a lesson: never cook eggs in your wok with a fork!  (Yeah, that happened.  A friend did this after spending the night.  The coating chipped away until bits of the metal shone through.  It was really bad.)

I truly hope that you may enjoy it.

Feedback and idea submissions are encouraged through the contact form on this blog, or the forms found on Facebook and Tumblr.  Remember that the list of things you will not see (see below) are to be respected on all of my social media outlets and blogs.  Tolerance, and common courtesy have not left the human race yet, have they?

‘Like’ Sugar and Spice on Facebook, Twitter, TumblrStumbleUpon, Google Plus, etc., and don’t forget to ‘Share’ the love!

My mission with this blog is to discover the “spice of life” through activities that will help to make myself a healthier, happier person.
What you will NOT see are the following:

1) Public slander.
I may be a poet and writer, but I won’t go as far as to publicly humiliate someone by using the internet as a vehicle to do it.
I have seen this happen to many of my nearest and dearest and I would never do something to another that I would not appreciate having done unto myself.
My blog should be a happy place!

2) Public slander of artists, commenters and writers.  If there is a comment that is deemed inappropriate, it will be removed.

Please do not copy my original poetry for your personal use and gain!  All rights of the original poems and works are mine unless otherwise noted.

Any works that are originally owned by other artists or third parties are theirs.  I will do my best to contact an author for permission before using his or her property.  If you know the owner of an original work, kindly contact me using the form.

If you “Like” what you see, check out my Facebook Page and leave a comment!

Thank you, and enjoy!
